Donna was born and raised in rural west Texas. She has been in San Antonio for over 30 years, after falling in love with the people and the city while being here for college at UTSA. Her first college adventure yielded a Masters of Science in Taxation, of all things. Donna worked in trading and analysis for 10 years before deciding to “retire” and be a full-time mom. Her kids are now a sophomore in high school and sophomore in college.
10 years ago Donna began working part-time at her family’s home church. Relationships and people are one of her greatest passions and she quickly fell into the role of professional “listener”, for staff and congregants. This led to pursuit of a Spiritual Direction Certification from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University, and ultimately to her current studies at Northwestern University. Donna is a candidate for a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Therapy from Northwestern in August, 2022.
Donna truly believes there is not a wasted season in life. She is driven by the exploration of these seasons and encouraged by the human spirit. A few of her favorite things: road trips, monasteries, creating mosaic art, watching her son play tennis, and hearing people’s stories.
