Drea received her Bachelor’s degree in Therapy Psychology with a minor in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and later received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Drea was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. When she is not working with clients, she enjoys spending time with her family, church, staying active, and loves binging a good true crime show or podcast.
Drea was inspired to become a therapist out of her own healing experience with therapy. She has worked primarily with adult populations experiencing depression, anxiety, domestic/intimate partner violence both emotional and physical, life changes, relationship issues, religious abuse, and work-related stressors. In addition to this population, she has also worked with severe mental illness populations experiencing major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia in psychiatric outpatient settings.
Drea understands the bravery and courage it takes to make that bold first step in signing up for therapy, as it is not an easy task. Drea firmly believes that a person is never too far gone to be without any redeeming qualities. Her goal as a therapist is to create a safe space, where she and her clients can work together to discover the tools they already have within them. Drea practices at our North Central San Antonio location.
