Jordan McGarrity was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Jordan received her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from the University of Texas in 2015. Jordan has a background in working with college students in mentorship and accompaniment capacities which led her to pursue a path in mental health. She is currently working on a Master’s Degree in Counseling at Divine Mercy University and will graduate in May 2023. 

 

Jordan is a current graduate student gaining experience in working with a variety of populations. Alongside her school work, Jordan has received additional education to prepare her to work with various types of trauma, including sexual trauma, domestic abuse, and compassion fatigue. 

 

Life often brings unexpected challenges and Jordan understands that asking for help in these challenges is not an easy step. She strives for a safe and encouraging counseling environment as these challenges are explored. She fully believes that regardless of a person’s past, they are never too far gone and she is excited to collaboratively work with clients to help them discover how they can better flourish in their lives. When Jordan is not working with clients, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing with her dogs, watching a good movie, and seeing how fast she can finish a puzzle.
