Michelle began her counseling career in 2011, and she has worked with individuals experiencing a variety of life struggles and mental health challenges such as domestic violence, grief and loss, addiction, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. She also has experience working with couples struggling with communication difficulties, infidelity, and emotional distance. Early in her career she chose to focus on trauma when she noticed both the prevalence of traumatic experiences in the lives of her clients, and the profound and destructive effects of untreated trauma. Michelle is certified in EMDR Therapy to promote healing and help clients build lives full of authenticity, purpose, and meaning.
Michelle genuinely recognizes the value of every individual, and she aspires to help each of her clients build self-acceptance to achieve genuine self-love. She is passionate about spirituality because she believes deeply in the power and promise of the human spirit.
Michelle holds a master’s in counseling degree, and she is both a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She works with adults/couples and practices counseling using a relational approach, in recognition of the essential value of relationships for a fulfilling and meaningful life.
Michelle balances her deep passion for her work with an equally rewarding personal life. She enjoys active involvement in her church community, and she finds joy in spending time with family and friends, running, reading, traveling, and pampering her furry children.
