Weclome to Teletherapy
We appreciate everyone’s participation, patience, and support this past week as we rolled out teletherapy and implemented new hygiene standards in our offices. At the end of this past week, and after lots of consideration, we have decided to close our store front offices and continue therapy by Telehealth only until May 1. We do this to protect you, our clients, and our therapists and their families. We will continue to re-evaluate in conjunction with the CDC and US government directions.
For the time being, let's enter the brave new world together!! Take a deep breath and lower your anxiety. This is going to be fine. Below is a "how to" and FAQ combo. We know this will NOT exhaust all questions, but send in your questions and we will add to this list.
QUESTION: How will we do Teletherapy?
ANSWER: Our Telehealth platform is through Theranest. Below are two videos, the left one on a Mac and right one on a HP to walk you through how easy to use this platform really is. Theranest teletherapy can also be used on a phone. If you do not have the capability to use Theranest Teletherapy, Gov.Abbott and the Texas Dept of Civil Liberties are allowing us to use FaceTime and regular phone conversation for substitutes. Also, if you are hearing impaired, please talk to your therapist. Zoom facilitates closed caption and will be a better option for you.
We suggest you find a private space in your home or car for tele therapy. Many of you have kids at home and are homeschooling and working remotely. Talk about these challenges with your therapist so you can come up with solutions.
