Vanessa was raised south of San Antonio in Natalia, Texas. Vanessa received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University-San Antonio in 2019. She then went on to receive her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from TAMUSA in May of 2022.
Vanessa has experience working with school age children, adolescents, and adults. Vanessa has experience working with those who have experienced domestic violence and is educated on the power and control in relationships and the cycle of violence. Vanessa has also worked with those living with trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidality, anger, grief/loss and substance use.
Vanessa believes that seeking help is the first step in the healing process. Vanessa understands how hard this first step can be due to her own traumatic experiences and life’s challenges. She uses a person-centered approach and will be there to provide a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental environment where you are able to process your thoughts and feelings openly. Vanessa is passionate in helping individuals find their value and worth and to assist in overcoming your traumas. When Vanessa is not working with clients, she is creating memories with her family and friends. She enjoys watching sunsets, traveling, watching Netflix, playing with her dog, and exercising.
