Originally from Florida, Shannon spent her childhood in New Orleans, In 2010, she moved to San Antonio, TX to pursue her career as a therapist. She received her master’s in marriage & family therapy with a concentration in play therapy from St. Mary’s University in 2012 and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is bilingual in Spanish and has a wealth of experience working with children and parents as she pursues the Registered Play Therapist credential. Her other areas of expertise and specialty are Twogether in Texas pre-marital therapy, Gottman Method-focused couples/marriage therapy, family therapy, issues of domestic violence, and using play (child centered and sandtray) in therapy for ages 2-12). During her leisure time, Shannon enjoys watching movies, trying new ethnic cuisines, traveling, and playing with beloved puppy. Shannon practices at our Victoria, Texas location and has daytime and evening availability.

Ellen is a native to the Victoria area having grown up in Edna. She is a Licensed Professional Therapist who holds a Master of Education in School Counseling with a Certificate in Therapy and Development from Lamar University. She also holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Houston-Victoria. Prior to her work in the therapy field, Ellen worked as an elementary school teacher in Victoria. Ellen’s clinical work is dedicated to helping survivors of trauma heal from their past and provide them with the tools to create a happy and healthy future. She has experience
providing trauma focused treatment to children and adolescents along with their families within the child advocacy center setting since 2017. She is nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trained in EMDR.
When Ellen is not in session, her ideal days are spent in her backyard or enjoying movies with her partner and dogs. Ellen considers herself to be a lifelong learner and enjoys seeking out new professional development opportunities to increase her base of knowledge. She is also passionate about educating others about mental health and trauma.
